Dear church family & friends of Calvary Baptist Church of Caseville,

Hebrews 10:25 challenges us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together. As your pastor for over 25 years you know how strongly I believe in the importance of being faithfully, physically connected to the local church. So it is with regret that I am cancelling our services tomorrow.

Though I am somewhat hesitant to cancel based on the actual number of confirmed cases in our state, the fact that both our governor & president have declared a national state of emergency urge me to err on the side of caution. Since COVID-19 is easily spread through human contact and is especially hard on older citizens, I am going to take the advice of the medical authorities and encourage you to stay home & be safe.

Pastor Francavilla & I are planning to do a Facebook live service tomorrow, March 15, at 11 am Lord willing. We will also post the service on YouTube. Our channel is Calvary Baptist Church of Caseville.

In the meantime, if there’s anything I can help you with, including running errands so you can stay home, please don’t hesitate to call me at (989) 551-6718.

Those who want to worship with their finances are welcome to give via mail at Calvary Baptist Church PO Box 549 Caseville, MI 48725

Modern technology allows us to still be connected electronically & I hope you will take some time to both worship with us & observe the national day of prayer that President Trump has asked us to observe.

II Timothy 1:7 reminds us that God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of a sound mind. Philippians 4:6-7 says Be careful for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Thank you,

Pastor Mike Goforth
